Pounds for Primates weight loss campaign has 26-year-old Nicholas Beatty on a diet consisting of monkey pellets and other primate friendly foods. This unique fundraiser created by Beatty offers an opportunity to raise funds for Oregon Primate Rescue, an organization that facilitates the rescue of research monkeys and abandoned pet monkeys. At 285 lbs, Beatty created the campaign in order to lose weight and raise money based on taking pledges for every pound of weight he loses.
